Zapota Hair

Born in Congo and raised in France, Azi developed an instinctive appreciation for effortless chic, meticulous craftsmanship, and creative expression. Her journey into fashion began in Paris, where she studied Fashion Marketing at MODSPE, a formative chapter that shaped her
understanding of style, storytelling, and design.

She later moved to London to work alongside emerging designers, sharpening her eye for innovation and contemporary artistry. Her path then led her into the world of fine jewellery: with experience in London’s renowned Hatton Garden district and Paris’s iconic Place Vendôme, Azi deepened her expertise in gemmology and jewellery design, later formalising her knowledge at the GIA Institute in 2020.

ZAPOTA began as a series of experimental, expressive hair projects. A space where texture, form, and emotion could meet. In 2021, the brand introduced its first fashion accessories, followed by its debut bridal pieces the next year. This marked a defining evolution: gemstones, particularly topaz, became central to the brand’s creative identity, merging sculptural artistry with refined craftsmanship.
Today, ZAPOTA continues to honour its atelier roots, crafting contemporary hair accessories that celebrate individuality, emotion, and the beauty of hand-made design.
